Hey, it's me...
This week was my birthday, so happy birthday to me!
I had a mostly quiet day, laying around and watching movies that J and D got me as birthday presents. J made me a fantastic dinner - sesame chicken and rice with a chicken satay appetizer - inspired by fond memories of one of my favorite restaurants. Yeah, it was a good day and a decent week.
My Uncle Kirk, mom's brother, sent me a package of memories and treasures from my mom and grandparents. Just little things - pictures and books and some of my Grampa Ted's carvings and the like - that he'd collected over the years and passed on to me. Looking through it brought a smile to my face. I need to go through it all again with a more "awake" eye and ask him some questions.
Honestly, that was the excitement of the week. It was good.
Resting now, because it was also a lot.
